Our story of growth is one of sheer will to spread the love for Chelsea Football Club throughout India. From starting out with 4 people in the first screening in Mumbai back in 2006, we expanded to 8 cities by June, 2013. Today, we have spread to 15 cities around the country, each with a moderator who is officially in charge of the screenings in his respective town. Cities like Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Bengaluru and Delhi have had turnouts of more than 100 in many big games over the last couple of years.
We have been officially recognized as a supporters’ club by CFC, and were given the Bronze Tier Membership in 2009. This was followed by the launch of our official website and forum in January, 2010. With the help of social media, we have reached out to and connected with thousands of Blues all over the country. Our Facebook page has over 25,000 likes, while our FB group has 9000 members. A social networking site on which we are vastly expanding is Twitter, where we are closing on the 7000 followers-mark.
In this journey, along with us, our club has moved forward too. Magical European nights, incredibly memorable Premier League ties, the romance and the tradition of the FA Cup; Chelsea have seen and conquered it all. The historic League and Cup Double of 2010, that unforgettable night in Munich in 2012 and of course, the return of the Special One, Jose Mourinho, as manager in 2013, are some of the highlights which our supporters’ club has witnessed since its inception. While we have celebrated the highs, we have stuck through the lows as well. Our luck in the Champions League over the last decade has been as dire as it gets. In 2008 and 2009 especially, we were denied cruelly, by twists of fate that left us wondering when European glory would arrive.
When it did, we made the most of it. On 19th May, 2012, in what was the biggest night in the history of Chelsea Football Club, an All-India Screening of the Champions League Final against Bayern Munich was held in Goa. The turnout was a massive 350 people, including 200 Blues from all four corners of the country. Needless to say, when Didier Drogba smacked home the decisive penalty to give us the win, there was hardly a dry eye in the house.
In arguably the biggest achievement of our club so far, CISC has been upgraded to the Gold Tier Membership with Chelsea. With our vast progress over the last 8 years, it will not be surprising to see the club scaling newer and bigger heights in the next couple of years.
A big reason for us believing in an optimistic future is the formidable team that Jose is in the process of building at the moment. Even though it is slightly premature to judge, it will be a safe bet to say that Chelsea have now built a squad to dominate not to England, but the whole of Europe in the years to come.
The members of Chelsea India Supporters’ Club may sometimes have nothing whatsoever in common with each other, apart from their love for our fantastic football club. We are family, in a sense, bonded by the Blue blood that runs through our veins. Together, we preview the game at the weekends, watch it at the screenings and then reflect on the result. In the process, we have found some great friends, individuals with whom we will cherish and share a relationship for a lifetime. We’d like to welcome you, and invite you to be a part of India’s Blue Army!

Bow would all the waves were women, then I’d go drown, and chassee with them evermore!
There’s naught so sweet on earth—heaven may not match it!—as those swift.
